We are trained change and move management professional with the experience, resources, and know–how to make your move a breeze.

We are also people just like you who know what it's like to move. This understanding, and our passion for helping others manage change, is what keeps us happily committed to our work.

You can count on the Assisted Transitions team to:

  • Be professional and discreet. Your privacy, safety and comfort are our top priorities.
  • Deliver quality and value. Our team is highly efficient and resourceful.
  • Get it done—on budget and on time. You will wonder how you ever moved on your own.
  • Meet you where you are. Our approach is about people, not formulas.
  • Relieve stress—and even add a little fun. We love what we do!
Annie Jacobsen, Founder & Owner - Assisted Transitions was established by Annie in 2005 as a service to take the stress and anxiety out of one of the most frustrating tasks of all: MOVING. Her Masters degree in Organizational Development (with a focus on Change Management and Family Systems) defines the core principles upon which Assisted Transitions was founded. Too often people get overwhelmed with the physical aspects of a move and fail to adequately address the emotional issues. Annie's extensive experience in event production, counseling, mediation and conflict resolution ensure that your belongings will arrive in their new home safe and secure, without the emotional turmoil typically associated with relocation. Since her teens, Annie has been known among friends and family as the "go-to gal" when life gets overwhelming, so Annie has made it her life's work to bring order and calm to the traditionally chaotic and stressful process of moving.
TEAM LEADS
Kanna joined the Assisted Transitions team in May 2007, and loves getting to know each unique Assisted Transitions client.  She has previous professional experience in counseling, event production, household organizing, and move management, and has a knack for bringing calm and clarity to challenging transitions.  In addition to her work with Assisted Transitions, Kanna is working on her M.Ed. from the University of Washington.  In her spare time, Kanna loves to organize stuff (no kidding!), cook for friends, and make good use of her library card.
Merrily brings a hard working, "can do" attitude to every client she meets. Her previous experience as an architectural lighting designer, and a massage therapist give her the unique ability to organize a move quickly, and be present to the care and emotional support of the client. Outside of work, she has her hands full raising two active young sons. She considers your move a break! Merrily enjoys bargain hunting at estate sales, and Goodwill. She loves "barn raisings" and is often working on a house project with her husband.
Nickie has been with Assisted Transitions for 2 years.  After learning the basics, she quickly moved into a crew lead position.  She has taken on a lot of office duties earlier this year.  She loves to find efficient use of space and time.  Getting hugs and hearing sighs of relief are her biggest motivation for getting clients through the toughest transitions. In her spare time, Nickie has 2 little mutts that love to be outside hiking and romping around.
